Our work with synagogues supports many areas of our charity and includes volunteering and fundraising but also offers friendship and much enjoyment.
There are a number of different ways to become involved:
- Connecting or reconnecting our Residents with synagogue representatives to enhance spiritual and welfare support
- Deliver education and learning on care related topics to synagogue members and welfare workers
- Bnei Mitzvah charity twinning programme
- Volunteer befrienders to meet and talk to our Residents on a weekly basis, particularly those without any family
- Entertainment from synagogue choirs and musicians
- Kosher gift parcels for Purim, Pesach and Chanukah
- Bridge & Tea events at Hammerson House or Nightingale House
- Fundraising through the High Holy Day Appeal
- Support during Shabbat services & Jewish festivals.
If you’d like to learn more or perhaps book a time to come and visit us and chat in more detail, please do get in touch: Reach@nightingalehammerson.org
We look forward to hearing from you.
At home I manage, at Nightingale I live."

I think Nightingale is very unique. It is a beacon, a beacon of not only care, but also of Jewish life."
