Supporting you to live better for longer at home

Here you’ll find a ‘Practical Advice’ section, packed with useful videos, posters, and other resources designed to support healthy ageing at home. These materials offer easy-to-follow guidance on everyday tasks, making them perfect for older adults and those who assist them.

Good communication is the key to smooth and joyful interactions and we do rely on verbal communication daily to quickly convey information. However, it can be challenging to communicate with someone who has dementia, especially as they may lose vocabulary or become distressed. In this video, we demonstrate other ways to communicate beyond words with someone living with dementia, such as using eye contact, understanding their emotions and involving them in decision-making. This ensures they continue to lead a rich and social life.
