This year the London Marathon returned to its usual April spot with 48,000 runners crossing the finish line in one of the UK’s most iconic events.

We cannot thank our heroic runners Cathy, Charlie, David, Jacqui, Melissa and Jamilah for running for Nightingale Hammerson in 2023. Their hard work and dedication truly paid off as they completed the 26.2 mile run in amazing time whilst raising thousands of pounds for our Residents, present and future.

A few words from our runners:

‘’The run was a real rollercoaster. I loved it but it was tough in places. Crossing tower bridge was phenomenal, the crowd def kept me going at points. Thank you for the opportunity to run. It was a real honour to raise money for nightingale again.’

‘’Of my 22-some-odd marathons, this was the best crowd ever.   They were out despite the rain and cheering.  I want to come back.’’

We remain in awe of their immense achievement and thank them from the bottom of our hearts for everything they have done for Nightingale Hammerson.
