One-touch Calling – iPhone

Iphone shortcut icon

Unlock your device, find the shortcuts icon, tap it.

Tap the blue plus button at the top right.

Type Call.

Tap the Call icon
Click on contact iphone

Tap the word Contact.

search for the person in your contact list and tap on their name.

Tap the small down arrow in the grey circle, On the list that pops up, tap Rename.

After renaming the shortcut, tap on Done.

Tap the three little dots on your new shortcut tile.

Tap the Share icon in the bottom of the screen.

One-touch Calling – Android

Unlocked your Android device, find and open the Play Store app.

Tap Search at the bottom of the screen.

Tap the search bar at the top of the screen.

Type Action Blocks and tap Search.
Download action blocks

Once you see Action Blocks, tap Install and wait for it to install.

When the app has finished installing, tap Open.

Tap the button that says Create Action Block.

Type a specific command into the box (e.g. Call Jane mobile), then tap next

A test would run to call the person, tap the red button to hang up.

Pop up will appear asking you if the action worked as expected. Tap the Yes button once you know it's working. Then tap Next.

Meet our experts

Bansari Bhadra

Bansari is an experienced MCSP and HCPC registered physiotherapist, currently working at Nightingale Hammerson in London. With an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation) from Brunel University London they have a diverse background in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular rehabilitation. They have worked across care homes, hospitals, and physiotherapy clinics, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design individualised treatment plans, and ensure comprehensive patient care. Passionate about improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing patients’ quality of life, Bansari also actively promotes fall prevention and therapy services within care home settings.

Sanniha Saeed

Sanniha completed a 5-year degree in Physiotherapy in Pakistan, followed by a 6-month hospital placement. She gained diverse experience, initially working in neuro-physiotherapy for a year at a private hospital, and later as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist for 3 years at a clinic. After moving to the UK, she joined Nightingale Hammerson in March and is currently working as a physiotherapist there.
