A delicious, Italian themed lunch was celebrated in Ronson Household to mark the official opening of Maisie’s Kitchen. Maisie Barnett was a Resident at Nightingale House for 16 months and she loved to bake. Her son David and daughter-in-law Rachel donated the kitchen in her memory.
Residents of Ronson made letters of her name on ceramic tiles and enjoyed a lunch of Tricolore salad and pesto pasta, washed down with a glass of wine and espresso.
When Maisie arrived at Nightingale House her spirit was broken. She had recently lost her husband and had broken her hip after a fall. Nightingale house and the Staff and Residents of Ronson Household brought her spirit back. She regained her love of cooking and engaged with all the activities the Home offered.
