The event was a true reflection of the community spirit that Mitzvah Day fosters, demonstrating the impact that collective action can have in bringing people together and making a positive change.
Hosted at Hammerson House, Mitzvah Day 2024 was an inspiring display of intergenerational and interfaith collaboration which brought together residents, team members, relatives, local youth from synagogues and volunteers from organizations such as Food Bank Aid, Mitzvah Day and Hammerson House. We welcomed The Rt Revd Canon Dr. Anderson Jeremiah, Bishop of Edmonton, Royal Army Chaplain Imam Asim Hafiz and Rabbi Charley Baginsky, who also supported this significant initiative.
Participants worked together to sort food donations generously donated by our local community, all of which were later collected by Food Bank Aid.
