This year we celebrated Mitzvah Day at Nightingale House.
On Wednesday, 19th November, Residents, nursery students and team members worked together to chop vegetables for soup and bake challah, all in preparation for a shared community meal on 20th November in which we invited members of St James’ Church, Clapham. Over warm bowls of soup and fluffy challah, we built meaningful connections and celebrated the spirit of community. The afternoon was made even more special with a lively sing-along led by musician Sam Peterson.
The interfaith community lunch reflects this year’s Mitzvah Day theme of ‘building bridges’ perfectly, and we would like to extend a huge thank you to the members of St James’ Church, Clapham, for joining us in this celebration.
