The Social Care Top 30 celebrates exceptional leaders across the sector whose vision, innovation and unwavering dedication are making a lasting, positive impact on social care. Being recognised as a finalist is a fantastic achievement, following Jenny’s inclusion in last year’s awards where she was placed third overall.

Reflecting on her nomination, Jenny Pattinson said:
“I am genuinely delighted to be nominated again for the Social Care Top 30. Having been placed third last year was an enormous honour, particularly because there are so many extraordinary people working across social care who inspire me and challenge us all to keep doing better.
I have always believed that leadership in social care comes with a responsibility to be ambitious. People living in care homes should expect more than simply to be safe and well cared for. They should have relationships, purpose, laughter, opportunity and a genuine sense of belonging. Our job is to keep asking how we can make that experience better.
Over the past year I have been incredibly proud of the work we have continued at Nightingale Hammerson: developing research, embracing technology and AI thoughtfully, investing in our workforce, strengthening intergenerational care and continually challenging ourselves about what excellent care really looks like. Not everything we try will be perfect, but I strongly believe that organisations which are curious, brave and prepared to learn will ultimately deliver better care.
Most importantly, this nomination is not really about one person. I have the privilege of leading remarkable teams who bring compassion, skill and humanity to work every day. If being included in the Social Care Top 30 gives me a slightly louder voice to celebrate them, champion our sector and argue for greater ambition for people who draw on social care, then I am extremely proud to use it.”
