Nightingale House was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed close to 250 people to this year’s Garden Fair. It was a truly wonderful community event, bringing together nursery families, the local community, Residents, friends, families, supporters, volunteers and team members for a day filled with fun, laughter and connection.
We were incredibly fortunate with the weather, which provided the perfect backdrop for a fantastic afternoon outdoors. Visitors enjoyed a wide range of activities and attractions ensuring there was something for everyone.
A popular highlight was the gelato stand, helping guests stay cool while enjoying the sunshine. Our resident bees were also centre stage with jars of their delicious honey available to purchase from the dedicated bee stand. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about beekeeping through live honey spinning demonstrations.
Guests also enjoyed a traditional Pimms stand which proved to be a favourite gathering spot throughout the afternoon while the cake stand was filled with a delicious selection of homemade treats that were donated and run by our wonderful volunteers.
The gardens were alive with activity from lawn games and bouncy castles to face painting and creative workshops hosted by the hair studio team. Throughout the day, live musicians provided a wonderful soundtrack creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all.
We were also delighted to receive a visit from our local police officers who stopped by to show their support, enjoy a coffee and even purchase raffle tickets!
Events like the Garden Fair remind us of the strength and warmth of our community. It was wonderful to see so many people coming together making new connections and supporting local initiatives.
