Yesterday, 11 incredible runners took on the London Marathon for Nightingale Hammerson and they’ve already raised an amazing £22,000 (and counting) in support of our work.
It was a tough day on the course with hot conditions and huge crowds lining the streets, plus the added excitement of world records being broken along the way; an unforgettable atmosphere all round.
We are so proud of and grateful to every single one of our runners: AJ, Andrew, Archie, Cathy, Danny, Doron, Geri, Matan, Molly, Oliver and Richard.
Thank you for going the distance for us.
There were so many inspiring stories among the team:
• A brother and sister duo ran side by side the entire way in support of their Grandma
• The son of one of our volunteers ran in recognition of the care he’s seen her give
• A team member completed her 15th marathon for Nightingale Hammerson
