Nightingale House opened its doors this weekend for the much-loved annual Summer Fair, welcoming over 200 Residents, families, team members and the wider community for a fun day of festivities.

Despite a short spell of rain in the early afternoon, spirits remained high and the sun made a welcomed return. The care home’s garden was buzzing with energy, filled with laughter and music as attendees enjoyed classic fair games, colourful face painting and a bustling marketplace of local vendors selling unique goods.

A lively raffle with fantastic prizes, generously donated by local businesses, kept the excitement going throughout the day. The climax of the day came in the afternoon when the 16-piece Surrey Hills Big Band took the stage. Their mix of classics drew a large crowd, bringing a joyful end to a truly special day.

The event is part of Reach by Nightingale Hammerson’s ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of older people and strengthening ties with the local community.
